Hi there all
Just returned from two week vacation in coach to Corpus Christi, Texas. Great time. First I must apologize to the great people in San Antonio.
In turmoil I left San Antonio early and missed out on a great time set up by the San Antonio bunch. Sorry guys. Poor planning on my part and grand daughter screaming about the beach and the sand.
Had problem with coach coming back up from corpus. Coach just stopped running. Gave Jim in Orlando a call and he could not have been more helpfull. He explained what needed to be done and got me back on the road. Thanks Jim. Distributor problem and after new parts all is up and running and made it back to El paso. One more problem occured yesterday morning leaving from Fort Worth. We were about 40 miles west of Fort Worth when coach felt wobbly and next thing I saw smoke coming out of rear wheel well. Back tire must have blown and destroyed itself. This was a brand new Michellin tire and will get it replaced tomorrow at discount tire. No damage to coach so no major problem. Decided one thing on this trip no more travelling in the south in the middle of a heat wave. If you are not using your coaches do so, had a great time

Perhaps check the bearing on that wheel to see that something is not binding up and creating a lot of excess heat and causing the tire to fail.

You can pick up an infrared temperature pyrometer at Harbor Freight for not very much money these days. That makes it easy to check the temps as you walk around the coach.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Last time I was in a GMC coach in the South was just outside
of New Orleans in 1979.

One of the rear wheel bearing gave out and we had us some fun
on the roadside!
