Hi Gene,

I'm not sure what the problem is you are having. I have tried accessing .pdf files from several of the pages with three different web browsers and all work properly here on two different machines (both macs) and from my iPad. I don't have any Windows machines to try here but I did have a friend try and he had no issue. Can you let me know what version of Windows and what browser/version you are using. I will have the hosting service (squarespace.com) chase down the issue or you can contact them directly yourself if you wish. They respond quickly and pride themselves on using the most current version of all of the industry standards.

In building this site I have hot links turned off so if you are wanting to link directly to the .pdf file as hosted without downloading it for display and then saving in your browser I don't know if their servers will allow it. On Google Chrome the link to the hosted .pdf is shown at the bottom of the screen as the pointer hovers over the link object. If you are unable to download the .pdfs at all, be sure you are getting to the current web site which has a white background and not the older version which was hosted on Apple servers and has a colored background. That older version will go away next summer.

See you at SOOR.

Jerry

I have a problem with the pdfs on your web page,

I cannot seem to point to them

I think you are using "frames" which does not give a link url.....

I tried to point to your page today, and finally had to go to bdub to get it...'

may have to give us - the unwashed- a how-to to get the link.

anxious to see your alignment stuff at the soor, Manny is all set to
get-er-done

thanks
gene

if I point to your page
http://jerrywork.com/

then we have to click on GMC

then scroll down 3 pages to find the links

then click on the link.

when

what I really want is this link
http://thedovetailjoint.squarespace.com/storage/GMC%20Battery%20presentation%20v3%20reduced.pdf

which is really long because of the frames
so needs to be

http://goo.gl/v1WwF

now I know how to copy the link, so should be ok

thanks
gene

I have tried accessing .pdf files from several of the pages with
three different web browsers and all work properly here

yep, finding the link was the problem
