After searching for two years at everything from one coast to another, I
finally found the coach I believe was meant for us.

Estelle had never traveled in any RV and only been in a '79 Royale at Abq's
Camping World and a project coach in Columbia SC. Its average is 11mpg
lifetime, has a rear queen, 6.5k Onan genset, two roof AC's [Colemans, both
run,] and an outstanding history. I started talking with the owner last Nov,
a retired engineer from Superior State who enjoyed keeping it in perfect
shape and taking it to the Cody WY from their home in Sault Ste. Marie MI.
He called three weeks ago and made the offer I couldn't refuse --if it was
as described. [BG] He offered it to me for $16K.

Always garaged in winter, the frame is as perfect as can be for not having a
full restore done. It had tires I consider way too old; so, prior to
arrival, I had 6 new TOL Goodyear tires installed [The day before FMCA
announced their Michelin program!] and replaced the OEM radio for a JVC and
Sirius XM radio. It has the Norcold fridge. Our new mobile HQ is a '94
Itasca Suncruiser 34RQ. It was packaged for Canadian sale at Guaranty in
Edmonton, with thermo-pane windows, extra insulation and all heated bays. It
has the 5.9L Cummins turbo diesel with the Allison 3060 6 speed
transmission. It drives like a dream and has storage to spare.

I am only sad that I will not be able to join any of the wonderful GMC
groups, yours is the best fellowship of Manf/owner Rvers that I've seen,
Good Sam could learn from you. Your exclusivity keeps me out. I will search
you out at QZ and FMCA Rallies.

From here in IL, we head up to I-80 and HWH --it came without jacks and then
to Cummins Central Power in Des Moines for the exhaust brake install that
the Canadian prairies didn't require.

As you all said, "Pay $25-30K up front or pay it later."

Adiós. . .

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved
body,
but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting
"...Thank you Jesus ...what a ride!"
