Teri and I just got back to the coach after our evening entertainment. This has been a real eye opener for me. Next Aug this will be in Indianapolis, where the 4 were just killed in the storm. Maybe we can roll several GMC coaches into that one. I don't think you would be disappointed if you choose to attend.
We found 8 GMCs here and 3 sob GMCers. We will leave here about daylight heading to Ken Burton's airpoort hanger. Hope to be there by noon. I did stick a few photos up, from today, on the blog. Stop by Jim K's table and ask any questions you might have about our adventure here. Better yet, catch Teri. She is better at articulating. Shoot, I sold out of my leds and had to place an order last night for Goshen.
See you at Goshen, and Milan if you can make Eastern States.

Dan,

I totally agree with you. Anybody with a motorhome would enjoy FMCA one
way or another. As I said before, it isn't just for the big riggers. If
dudes in the RoadTreks enjoy it, GMCers should to. In fact, I met a single
woman that was nearly 75 who drove her RoadTrek to Madison to attend.

I hope you got enough LEDs to have some for sale at Milan in addition to
Goshen. I didn't buy any from those vendors at Madison just so I could buy
something from you when you set up shop.

Two of the SOBs you reference headed out this afternoon after getting
weighed. Ours was one of them.

I did something I'll never do again. Before leaving I looked for a place
to spend the night to break up the trip to Louisville. I decided on the
KOA at Kankakee. (Old memories of Kankakee got in the way. However, this
is the 21st century and should have let the old memories go). What I did
wrong was get too close to Cook County and Chicagoland. It would have been
40 miles farther to go straight south to Bloomington and then head east.
It would have been cheaper and faster, too. The speed limit on the
Illinois stick-em-up roads is 55 and the expense at the toll booths (at
least nine before loosing count) is too much for a coach and four down. In
other words, it takes longer and costs more cutting across Daly territory
than it does to go around it. Wiser but poorer.

Say, I did see you from a distance in the exhibit hall today. I wasn't
close enough to shout so I didn't embarrass either of us by doing so.

Byron

Dan, good photos. It looks like that rally was a good one - lots of big name vendors. Your GMC looks kind of lonely though.

Byron, I thought that was you then I saw Bob behind and he honked. I was visiting with a couple behind me from Alabama.
I have mapped a two lane route to 80 from the north toll booth on 39. Am in no hurry so I thought we would take the scenic route. May regret it but why not see some new territory. Should it be raining we may stay on 39 to 80 and east. I told Teri tonight I never saw you inside the vendor area.
I will have leds at both gatherings. Did not expect to sell so many but a friend stopped by Thursday and grabbed most of what I had for his truck camper.
Armand, it did feel a bit lonely when we came back and all were gone. That is when I moved back out front for a fast get away at 6 am. Glad you liked the pictures. HAd trouble with blogger today.

I didn't get by to talk to the fellow with the classic Airstream
motorhome. It was a shiny thing and looked nice with the dark red trim. I
heard there was an FMC present but didn't get around to seeing it up
close. I hope Larry and Lucy got comments on their paint job. That
chameleon purple/brown is deceptive.

Have a safe one. You're right on to take 39 to 80 if the weather is bad.

We just rolled into the airport here at Ken's. He just pulled up. 250 miles or so before I normally get out of bed, ha.
Byron, I think I got a pic of the FMC on the blog. I did find it and took a picture. He was parked behind Ms. Stull.
