After being in storage for a couple of years we finally took a trip in the Eleganza.  When I got ready to dump I turned on the macerator and it worked fine for a couple of minutes and then shut down.  I turned it off for a couple of minutes and then started it up again.  Same story.  It seemed like it was drawing down the batteries.  I had just replaced both bateries.  Any ideas?

Is it plugged up with something ?? Mine was plugged up with a paper towel. I cleaned it out and all is well.

Ron,

It could be that the motor is drawing too much amperage and tripping an
automatic reset circuit breaker in the positive lead.

Did the motor get hot?

Interesting post. Wonder if Ron is full of it, or I mean his coach, or just gassed up a little. He did not say if anything was coming through the hose. The new Jabsco pumps shut off if it is running dry. As we all know, should he continue to run it dry the impellor will be gone in no time.
Maybe he will come along and either update us or give us a little more information. Several folks have offered suggestions. Now, lets see what happened.
And, looks like Ron might be a newcomer, as he has a one by his name. If so, welcome to the best group on the internet.
