Dan, will the alcoa rim lugnuts work on the Dodge rims. I just bought 4 of them from e-bay and they are on the way. Are the rims hub centered or lug centered? Now I"ll have to sell the 2 extra.

No, I had to buy the dodge lug nuts, which the center cap catches onto. They are lug centered. Carl S. knows more than I do as he is the one who got me the lug nuts.

Lynn,

I'm not Dan, but I can answer your questions. The Dodge wheels are lug centered and use the 9/16" conical lug nuts. They are a special lug nut with a shoulder to accept the clip on hub caps. The Dorman part number is 611-162. They run about four or five bucks apiece! If you can get the lug nuts with the wheels, you will be better off.

I have been running these wheels for about 4 - 5,000 miles and have never had any kind of an issue with the lug centering. They do not work loose, and the wheels run true. I torque them to 140 ft. lbs. max. I think the spec for the Dodge trucks is 135.

Lynn,

My mistake, the lug nuts are more like $2.50 to 3.50 each, depending on how well you know your parts guy.

Carl, thanks for the part number. Looking at the ones on your rig last week drove me to buy some. The caps are supposed to be coming with the rims so I"ll e-mail the seller first about the lugs. Off the subjeck but It seems that Dan has an awful lot of good friends. He must be a good ole Boy. I'll have to watch for him at the next rally in Conroe.

Lynn, I just try to be a friend and I get way more in return than I can ever give. Life is good that way.

"Good ol' Boy"is a great way to describe Dan. He is one of just about everybody's favorite. A better guy is hard to find. Wait till you meet his wife!
