The latest scammer in the swap meet section has a new-to-me approach. They sound legitimate because they copy an earlier reply to the thread and repeat it as their own message. But they are limited to the forum for now -- I believe it takes a person to approve them for posting on the GMCnet mail list.

His profile says he is 21 years old and from London. I guess he did not realize there are no GMCs in London and a 21 year old would not normally own one.

He has made one posting to the net. All the rest were to the Swap Meet.

It is fun to see these guys poking around with no knowledge of what they are doing. His ernglish got better when he tried to copy someone else's posting for his own.

Yep - this has been going on for a couple months now. Apparently they're
focusing on posting their links on the forum. Since they're not
subscribed to the email list, they get caught in the filter and I just
delete the posts.
