Unbelievable. We have our very own parking. Showers and bath right here. My solar may not do too well here in the shady spot by the lake but that is why I have a generator.
Life is good. FMCA did just as promised. Hoping lots of coaches show up. I have only found one so far, from Indiana, parked over in the electric area.

is there any central MN(I am in st. cloud), attending this ralley, that would haul 2 aluminum rims(no tires) back?
I could meet in the cities, or most anywhere if needed.

We took our dogs on a walk and swung around by the Greggs this afternoon.
They are in a good location and are quickly becoming surrounded by "the
enemy".
We turned on the genset for about 30 minutes today just to keep things
perkin' along OK. With a solar panel, four batteries, a big inverter, new
friends on either side with old friends behind, and great weather -- life
in an SOB is rather tolerable. Ta-dum -- ching.
We did see two GMC's going other directions when coming in yesterday. We
saw one this morning doing the same thing. We also saw a Palm Beach at the
Alliant Center parking with other SOBs. I'm thinking they know nothing
about the GMCnet or local FMCA-oriented clubs or they wouldn't have driven
on by. I'm aware of five GMCs here for the FMCA event. The Dotson's drove
here but are staying in a hotel for some good reasons. There are a lot of
class Bs and Cs mixed in and the Roadtreks are here in force. There's a
healthy smattering of older motorhomes so it's not all about having big
rigs and big payments.
I don't know why it is that GMCers think these FMCA rallies aren't for
them. There are good seminars and good entertainment plus every outfit
with some corner of the RV market in the vendor area. A GMCer has reasons
for being here and no reason to feel left out.
The most amazing thing is watching owners of coaches helping each other
work on their rigs regardless of brand or size. These rallies seem like
the place to tinker and fine-tune. I'm pretty sure the camaraderie goes
with the lifestyle. The amount of money or the size of your rig doesn't
matter. It's about people being people that help people -- as I've said
before, its a matter of who your are and not what you own.
Tonight we went cruising downtown and came across a rally for the recall
vote here in Wisconsin. It was next to the capitol building. We also swung
past a local custard place and had some delicious custard -- a fine, local
substitute for ice cream. Other than too much water with a lack of sandy
beaches, Madison seems pretty descent. I know the weather has been very
cooperative.

It is a friendly bunch. We are close to the showers so a lot of folks walk by. I love sitting outside and answering their questions.

Bob, we appreciate your thoughts but there are so many GMCers that are great ambassadors for our group every day. I think everyone should try to make at least one of these. We were in the meeting all day today from 8 am til 7 pm. They slashed a lot of expenses. I think that is a good thing.
I can't wait til Thursday so I can see what the vendors look like here. We now have 4 GMCs parked in our pristine area. There are another 5-6 parked in other places because of handicap or electricity needs. I have ridden the shuttle several times. Each time, as we pass the 4 GMCs, there are lots of nice comments about us. Makes me feel good to be one of the owners of a GMC.
Life is good at Madison with perfect weather. Our solar recharges our batteries by noon every day.
