My young wife and I are wanting to buy a 75-78 motorhome from the classic GMC era. Our sincere wish is to buy one of these from an interested party who is willing to finance us on the purchase. I have a great job, but I'm finding it hard to get a loan on a 30 year old vehicle. I'm willing to pay monthly till the vehicle is paid (with a bit of interest for the trouble) you hold the title and I insure it completely until it's paid.

If you don't drive your MH and it's just sitting there, it could be sold and giving you a monthly income. Just a thought. We have a decent down payment saved up and could also trade with an Accord or Toyota Solara.

We're sincere and ready to buy, this would be our home.

Not all of the GMCnet readers will see this -- so be patient. May take a while for someone on that coast to reply.

If you plan to live in the coach -- will it be stationary, as in, would a project coach work -- or does it need to be fully road worthy?

Good luck,

Dennis

Dennis,
Thanks for responding. A project coach would do, but we're looking for something minimally road-worthy.

I've got mechanical skills and ideally, the coach I'm looking for would be in the 5-15K price range, that way it's not such a huge burden for either party.

Right now, we're homeless and just saving funds...

Contact me via email to discuss. I have a 76 E2 I will be selling ASAP. I am just up the coast in SLO (Templeton actually).
I have 27K in this coach including my purchase price but will be selling between 7k-9k. There is nothing wrong with it I just need funds. Below is a list of mods. Coach needs tinkering but is sound.
Thanks

I have a nice '76 Eleganza II we are considering to sell. I rebuilt it 2 years ago from the tires to the top with a lot of new parts and work to list right now. We live in Visalia CA and just have not used it very much at all since we now have a trailer at Pismo Coast Village.

Let me know if you are interested
