Same fuel. Smaller can. You can buy an adapter at most hardware stores to go from small can to larger propane tank

My coach has a quick disconnect fitting at the propane tank which I assume is for a barbeque hookup. My question is...do I need to get different gas controls for my barby or can I just hook it into the propane tank in the coach? Somewhere I seem to have read that the little Coleman tanks(gas) for barbeques and camp stoves is different than the propane used in RVs.

Larry,
Below is a link to the mount bracket:
http://tinyurl.com/42gn6s6
http://www.rvqgrill.com/cart/item.asp?item=17&cid=2&yl=2&nosearch=true&pgnum
=1&p0=
It is designed to be screwed into a flat side RV and the upper rail of the
mounting bracket hooks into it while the bottom rests on the side of the RV.
Obviously this won't work on a GMC do to the curved sides. I modified the
one that came with the RVQ that Steve did the group buy for so it would clip
on to the top of the passenger side of the rear bumper. That way I could BBQ
and still talk to people sitting under the awning.
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of it and I'm in Sydney and the BBQ
is in Humble! Sorry.

It looks like a very nice bbq, but the website has very little information
about the mount. At least I couldn't find anything.

If you don't want to mount the extruded BBQ mount to the coach, it is easy
to whip up a hanging mount that hooks onto the rear bumper or ladder. You
will need the factory mounting bracket (extrusion). If I could remember my
login and PW for the photo site, there's photos of mine there.

First of all, I recognize the common usage, but the device is actually a 'gas grill'; 'BBQ' is a family of ways of cooking, several of which do not feature a grill at all. There is a lot of cooking you can do on a grill that is not barbeque. Calling it a barbeque is not an uncommon English construct, similar to 'hot water heater.'
Second, There is a risk of heat radiating from the back of the unit and melting the side of the coach. I have seen this on many plastic sided houses. Some sort of shield would be a good addition. Other wise it is a nifty looking grill.

Hardy,
The
RVQ mounts the unit 12" from the sides of the coach. Believe me, I was
worried about exactly what you are saying, so I mounted the unit and left it
on the nuclear setting for over an hour. The side of the coach nearest the
unit was the same temp ans the surrounding area (laser temp gun used).
