Guys, came across this on ebay. Says it is a genuine OEM compressor. Price seems cheap for a new GM A6. Does anyone know if this would fit our GMCs?

I am not positive, but I believe that the A6 compressors were made in different displacements. The applications this one is listed for make me think it might be a lower capacity unit than the OEM in the GMC. Again, this is something to check on prior to purchase. Just a heads up.

Over a year ago, I did some research. What I found over a was that there were two sheave sizes and some different head rotations. That made a total of three or four adaptable but not bolt in versions.

The GMC uses a version that is one of the most common, but their website does not agree.

One of the things that changes the part number is the pulley diameter. I have one on my coach that has a smaller pulley which means is is a different part number and also it spin the compressor faster for a given engine RPM. I feel that is a plus an engine that seldom sees 3000 RPM.

You can live with a different pulley diameter but you need to carefully examine the mounting ears as I understand they can be in a different rotation for different engines.
