Michael, some words of wisdom from some of my other friends who have had
knee and hip surgery:
Do EXACTLY what the therapist tells you, no matter how much it hurts at
the time. If it hurts more than you think it should, discuss it with your
Dr. and the therapist.
If you don't do the exercises, and keep doing them, you may as well have
not had the surgery at all. Friends who followed the instructions are
getting around pain-free, while those who didn't are still hurting
several years after surgery.

Good luck on yours, Michael. My first knee is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, with the second 6 weeks later. They're using a minimally invasive technique that is supposed to get you and and around much faster, but I've also been told the same advice - you absolutely, positively need to do the physical therapy afterwards to get a good result.

Looking forward to a life of setting off metal detectors at the airports! As David Letterman once said, How much are you supposed to tip the TSA agents after the pat-downs? Very Happy

Michael;
Yes to all of the advice.
My brother had his knee replace last year and was back to work in less then
two mounts.
He is the manager of a shipping center for Fed Ex so he is up and around a
lot.
My wife's best friend from school did not do as the Dr. and therapist told
her.
She is not doing well with here replacement.
Her Dr. at this time will not redo the replacement.
All The Best.
Howard
