Thanks.  We had a beautiful, sunny 75F day in S. Ont.  I spent it looking for another car after a women wrote my nice Lesabre Celebration Edition off when she made a left in front of me & hit head on. My wife & I are bruised from the belts & bags.

To all our friends up North. HAPPY CANADA DAY !!

Happy Canada Day

I was born in Montreal, my parents moved when I was 8 years old and never
have been back in that area. Went through Canada on the way to Alaska a few
years and broke down in our MY on Canada weekend, just try to get something
fixed or get help on this weekend.

Beautiful country, loved my time there.

I thought that Monkey Puzzle Trees where tropical and could not stand
the cold. Am I wrong??

Monkey-puzzle tree: It prefers temperate climates with abundant
rainfall, tolerating temperatures down to about −20 °C (−4 °F)

Monkey puzzle trees grow good here on Vancouver Island. I don't think they would grow anywhere else in Canada.
The "Island" is the best part of Canada.

Thanks Will,

Like the 4th of july in the U.S., Canada Day celebrations are a BIG deal here. We were so delighted to have Prince William and Katherine here on there first overseas visit to join in on the festivaties. The day went well across Canada, with lots of private and public parties, and of corse, fireworks.

...gota say...my coach and I love beeing Canadian!!!!

Yes, Happy Canada day to all our Northern North America neightors.
And Happy 4th of July to the locals.
-----------------
I guess What's'isname doesn't think that many of the of the people who
live on the border of an area that has lower prices or lower taxes don't
smuggle their purchases back home. Let's see now, Washington, Idaho and
California are on the Oregon border. They all have a sales tax, Oregon
doesn't. Hey, those lousy freeloaders are buying big-ticket items in OR,
and they aren't paying their share of their state's taxes. And, of
course, Oregonians don't bring home more than their allowed 1 bottle of
cheaper California booze. Yeah! Right!

Now that you mention it, I don't think non-resident sales tax exemption
works in any state that has a sales tax, if your state also has one.

When I priced a truck in Tejas, the dealer said if he sold it into GA, no sales tax applied in Tejas. Georgia, however, will get their cut when it's registered. Samesame Alabamja, and I believe samesame here.
