You know I hadn't considered this before, but with their system you can do just one side at a time.

Randy,

I don't think so. Putting 100 psi in the OEM bags may not set the ride
height the same as 100 psi in the Southland bags.

once you set the height valve on each side, each will have the pressure it needs. my system is set for 120lbs, but my Southland bags only need about 90 at full height. So if you have an old bag and a new bag, and readjust your height valve on the side with the new bag the pressure in your system shouldnt make a difference.

so far i like the southland bags, just make sure and install them with the airtube at the 6 oclock position.

Donovan,

I understand and in theory agree.

Just wondering have you actually done this? The way I read the message below
you have two Southland bags. I found adjusting the ride height valves is a
pita until I got adjustable links.

BTW you could provide some helpful data for the spreadsheet that Andrew
created if you measured the min and max distance between the bag supports.

Mark Bennett up in the Gold Coast measured his OEM system and found that the
difference was 6.5 inches.

Hey, I think that's a photo of my coach with new Southland bags. At least, that's what my coach looked like when I went to visit. New shocks, recently-sprayed bogie/arm/hub assembly...

I guess they all look alike at some point. Smile

Zeb Sr. said that they've sold 12 sets of Southland bags so far. I didn't ask whether that made me #13.

I'm headed up to Southland tomorrow to bring the coach home. They replaced pretty much the entire front and rear suspension. If I'd known the surgery was going to be so extensive, I'd have had to think real hard about upgrading both...but I don't have any experience with the stock ride so I wouldn't know what I was upgrading to or from. The cost would have been about the same though.

Starting Thursday: replace carpet, install new radio, test electrical, water, and LP systems and repair/replace as necessary. I expect lots of Onan learnin'.

Gene's APC gets installed before the trip home to Savannah. Smile

Andrew,

I heard that someone's GMC was at Southland getting the running gear
rebuilt. If so, I have a clue as to how much money you don't have that you
used to have.:>)

Did you get the isolation pads replaced, too?
