I heard that they work great, but the high revving power plant puts out an annoying high pitched whine.

I did install a 6010 to a 23' coach but good access had to be done via a
removable compartment cover from the inside with bilge blower fans on it for air
circulation. Yes, value for new on 1 used to be @ $3000 but since they went bye
bye the value has risen, currently you will see $4000+ for a running good one.
Not from me, I do not have any but I'm thinking of installing rebuilt 6010's in
restorations from now on. They are an awesome unit, we really didn' realize how
good they were until they were no longer available. A real bummer but working
with these machines, I am used to stuff like that happening. If you can get
your hands on a good working one, do it. There are parts and places to get work
done, the units will be supported into the future so grab 1 if you can. Get the
"remote kit" and an "outer left muffler kit" with it.
Good luck,
Jim Bounds

That is a nice Genny. a bit big size wise for a 23 but would be nice in a
26. I don;t think they make them anymore. Street price was around $3000.00
so the price seems OK.

Saw a local ad in Craigslist Houston for an EV6010. Jumped on it for $800. Also got a muffler and the original metal cover. Thought I had the deal of the century.
Last week, my crating partner who also has a GMC, bought one on ebay and conned a friend to haul it here from Pennsylvania. He paid $200 and another $200 for shipping. It looks brand new while mine is all dirty. He did not get the muffler(Ha!) so I might still be about even $$ wise.
I expect his will work as seller gave him a new circuit board. I will send mine to the Honda generator dealer to check out. Oh, mine also is set up to run on propane. I like that.
