I need to jack the rear to re attach one of the shock absorbers.

2 questions-- How do I keep the bogies from dropping and keeping the rear wheel from leaving the ground?

The rear shock stud is gone. Anyone know the part # or a bolt size and thread?

I just asked the same question a few days ago. There are a couple methods. One is the use of a 13" long leaf spring or 1/2" flat bar that goes under the bogies after the air is let out of the bag.
Another method is the use of wedges placed under the bogie at the pivot point.
Do a search for the last few days with the same title as you just used. "jacking....etc."

Jack up the coach a little bit and stick a jack stand or a block under the bogie frame. Remove the jack and let ALL of the air out of the bag. I usually disconnect the hose.

Stick the jack under the one bogie arm you want to work on and raise the tire 1 inch or less off of the ground. Remove the tire and go to work. With the tire gone there is very little weight on the jack. After removing the tire, raise jack up and down to whatever position you need to do the work.

That is basicly how I change the rear tires. I normally do not bother with the first bit of jacking and just raise the coach (with the air system) enough to get a block under the boogie frame. For steel wheels I use the OEM jack and chain hooked to one of the lug nuts to lift the tire from the ground then block the boogie with the bar others use when jacking.

As I normally store the coaches with the rear on blocks and no air in the bags... it is easy to "steal" tires from one for an other!

Got her done. Shock re-attached using a grade 8 bolt size 9/16 by four inches long.

Used a 3/4 board split it with my tire iron wedged the bogies and let the air out of the bag.

Presto magnifico- back on the road.
