Just got back from shop and the dimentions you are looking for are as
follows. The choke cable stick out approximately 3/8" of an inch from
connector. From the center of connector on choke to choke actuator is 11
1/2". Hope that answers the questions

There is a bend on the rod that people bend to adjust the choke, so
the amount extendis not the way to know.
Choke comes on when the engine first starts, then is released after it
starts running.
When cold, the choke should be fully cloed.

after cleaning and talking to i noticed that if i held the choke open just a hair more buy hand that my gen ran great,
i anjusted but only slightly, but i know i am much less than a half inch sticking out past the adjustment nut. i think i still needed just a little, my cable has no bend it it, and since it is hard to use a bend as a measured adjustment, i hope to keep mine straight. i may just set it to half inch before i start it again tomorrow and see what happens. mine started out less than, or maybe equal to a quarter inch,
thansk for the input, focus is on rear breaks tomorrow,
