I've read som threads about maserator discharge hose and piggybacking the hose along one of the frame rails. I noticed when working on my 77 royale that the aluminum rockers are hollow and with the end cap removed, you could shove up two three or so 8' garden hoses in each rocker. With quick couplers ud have 24' of discharge hose. Don't have a macerator (yet) but I'm eyeballing that spot for hose storage

(I just got my Maceator installed... now I need to figure out a discharge hose holder... or maybe I should be thinking "holster.")

Mike,
Which model and where is the discharge hose/how long?
Here is what I did on a 23 ft.

Sully,
The Hose is from Clean Dump:
http://www.cleandump.com/macerator_systems_rv_accessories.php
It is 1" ID.
I have never really paid attention to how much I need, I pull it out of the
tube and across the bumper and that gives me about 17 feet. RARELY have I
had to screw on the additional 10 foot extension.
The thing I like about this hose is that it partially clear and I can see
what's coming out. This is helpful whenever I flush the holding tank.
Be advised that I bought both the 20 foot and 10 foot extensions off bargain
tables in RV stores and did not pay $70.00 and $45.00 respectively as that's
a bit pricey just to pump poop! ;-)
I'll save Emery some time and note that he has been using 3/4" garden hose
for years without any problems.
I'll save Mr. Erf some time and tell you that flushing out the black tank is
a waste of time!
Regards,
Rob M.

Rob,
What is the O.D. Of that hose and how much length do you usually need when
you are pumping the poo?

I see. You never take the hose off of the macerator side. That would explain the frame rail storage. Couldn't use the rockers without unhooking from pump
