This unit is a 1978 40' GMC RTS II rear diesel pusher with pics on Classic

Type TR 8291 Coach 258

OK, historians, tell me all about this GMC.

Adiós. . .

body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "...Thank
you Jesus ...what a ride!"

The description doesn't say much. The RTS Bus was built by GMC for
transit systems. This has a few good things going for it. Looks like
it has the R&M one piece door. Looks like it has had some basement
storage added and has the RV type windows installed. The wheelchair
lift on the passenger side has been removed and is covered with some
nice panels. The AC unit in the rear has probably been removed. Not
many pictures of the interior. Some 78s didn't have VIN numbers. Looks
like it has the non-computer controlled 8V71 engine. I have an 81, but
Pete Papas is the real expert. He might chime-in.
