One of my former neighbors had one, and they were quite unique. I think that they came with a BMW diesel engine, and that's probably where the mileage came from. Don't know how the 455 conversion would do in the real world, it sounds like a custom conversion. They are also quite small when compared with most RVs as they were designed to be able to fit into a standard garage.
I'm sure that there is an internet group devoted to them, but that is quite a lofty price that he wants.

The 89 has the windows in the front top addition... I saw Rob Greys old WotheHeckisit coach ( number 1 ) had skylights that I just thought was cool as can be.
I have not seen much picture info on the number 2 coach so I don't know if it has the skylights as well, but they sure light up the coach and bring on an airy feeling....

I met and talked with the owner of a Vixen 21 in April on the way to the GMCWS rally. The guy told me that he got about 28 mpg and that the engine was a BMW turbo diesel with the engine in the rear. I was impressed with that until I passed him on the approach to Tehachapi - the hill had barely started and he already had slowed to about 50. We stopped at the top and watched him drive by - it took him quite a while to climb to the top - but for 28mpg I might overlook some faults. I'd say the original engine was underpowered. It is a nice looking vehicle but the lack of interior height - he invited us in to see it - while driving and the overall small size make it less than desirable for us. I wonder how they got a 455 in there. Here (http://minniebiz.com/gmcmotorhome/2011/04/24/easter-sunday-april-24th-on-to-bakersfield/) is a link to the photos and limited writeup.
