I would appreciate any information about air flow over the roof of a 26' Kingsley. I am thinking about placing two 25"by 52" panels just behind the cockpit area so as to save storage space in the rack at the rear. Seems the air flow would rise above that as it comes off the windshield area.
Can anyone share their experience, opinion or expertise?
Thanks,
Robert McMahan

Hi
I once saw a drawing concept of the airflow. Much like that of a brick. The high pressure is in front of the front side.
Now as I recall, the air flow is forced up with the angle of the nose where the pressure goes minus and then equals out after a foot or so.
In the case of a panel, it has about 1/2 to an inch of space so the panel would not see any deviance of pressure, only the roof surface would.
My ac is in the living area and the panel is behind that. I can't go by research but I thought I read that the roof area is sort of a dead zone and the AC does not offer that much effect of air flow manipulation....
I would think if your panel is mounted on the aluminum roof metal, which is about 2 foot from the crest of the front of the roof to the glass, there should not be a problem.
I would be interested in others opinions as well.

Robert, one of my 4 is mounted on the front, on the fiberglass cab. It is it tipped, with the cab, so air goes over it. I have never had a problem and it has ridden 20,000 plus miles there. The thing is mounted about 1 inch off the fiberglass roof.
