Is there a source for the points and condenser for our Onan Gens? My Onan has 500hrs on the clock and I don't think they have ever been replaced.

Cummins-Onan South on Blalock Drive in Atlanta, but last time I googled Onan parts - some years back - there were a couple of dealers who discount. C-O S gets list for them.

Contact us and we will show you how to convert to a adjustable point
that makes setting points easier.
We also stock the points and condenser,air filter, oil filter and
other accessory.

That is what I did! It runs way better than it ever did with points. I was also able to safely advance timing to 27* btdc which makes it more efficient. Way better imho! with the pertronix you set it, then forget it. I used one for a 4cyl engine but lost 3 of the magnets so get the V8 unit to have pleanty to spare....

Many have replaced the points with a Pertronix (often misplet Petronix) magnetic trigger. There are several pictures and how tos at gmcmhphotos.com . Then you are set for life.
