I found a spot in my driveway today. Crawled under the coach and found a drip from the compressor. Now, my question: How long til this causes a problem? Can it lock up? Air is cold but I don't want to have a problem on the road. I also found that my sway bar on driver's side has been moving up and down so I guess it was a good thing I found the drip on the concrete. Will jack that side up and see if I can set the bar back where it belongs and get it tight.

DARN, Dan, I sure hate to hear that! Never saw even a stain when I was
running it on the 455. Hopefully a seal replacement is all you'll need.
Sorry, but I've never done one so can't offer any advice.

I hate to ask but do you still have the old one?
I do not know how to replace the seal. I do know that it is normal for those to seep a little but not enough to see it on the driveway.

My A6 hs been loosing oil for some time. Yes it will loose the refrigerant charge as well but not as fast as you would think. I just kept adding 134 every year and sometimes a charge of 134 plus oil. You should be able to do the same until you can get at the repair.
I am now in the process of changing the compressor to a Sanden and flushing all components. I should have it back together in a couple of days. I will report back here when finished.

Rick I hope you take a few photos of the San en swap an provide the rest of us with the tech info to do the swap. This is a swap I'm interested in and since I wasn't at Ken's presentation, I am probably missing some of the important details.

Good luck.

Well, If you hadn't spent all weekend getting greasy under the front of your coach we could have done it at Bean Station. I know I forgot the scales but I did bring all of my AC stuff to Bean Station.
I'm just teasing you. We can look at yours at some future rally or if you are in the neighborhood just stop by.

I haven't had a chance to do anything with those lights. I also haven't looked at my Onan. I fixed two AC systems on my Blazer and Laurie's Jimmy. Spent all day working of the front wheel drive of my 4WD Blazer. I'm no closer to figuring out what's wrong then when I started this morning. I've got a power steering pump to replace on my Colorado and 4 tires to mount on 2 of my motorcycles. I'm sure there are at least 5 other items ahead of working on the GMC.
Monday I get to go work on the APRS I-gate that has been down for months. The owner agreed to let me into the radio room at the tower on Monday so maybe we can finally get this one back on line. It is on a 350 foot AT&T microwave tower.
We also have Dayton and the Hamilton Work Rally coming up plus the trip to go get that engine back here.
Busy, Busy. Busy but I'll get to it some day.
