I also liked it. I tried to imagine it WITHOUT the scene,
and it seems to me that SOMETHING needs to be in that big
open space or it would seem conspicuously incomplete.

Not sure where "Gatsby" lives, but the bridge,
navigational buoy, trees, beach, signal flag
pylon, etc. might be appropriate for its home

Hi All,
This design was a long time coming for Gatsbys' CRUISER.
A different look, sleek, clean.
I see some comments on the scene... I was attempting to be different, to get away from the OEM stripes, lines, swisshes, swoops and bouce backs. I wanted the scene to look as clean and smooth looking as the rest of the design and yet say something about RVing.
What you are looking at is an ultra modern scene with a mountain, sailboat on the water and land with a few tress thrown in. A couple of fish for giggles and the soaring birds.
I won't even hint how many revisions that scene went through to get to this point.
The drawing is so free and thought provoking, it brings many thoughts of different scenarios. Thats the way it should be don't you think? Fun, thought provoking, rather than dead boring???
Been some interesting comments, thanks for your perusal.

Ditto,though the mural is nice...I don't know if this is the right place or the correct application for it. However, if the GMC'r is also a sailor than it will fit perfectly.
Blank out the mural and let us vote again....Gee, its nice you are letting us voice our opinion.

We are sooooo far from "cosmetics" Lost 3 beautiful GMC hubcaps on the ride home..

I was losing those darn hubcaps all the time. It was like they were repelled from the wheel.
JIM BOUNDS has a cap that looks chrome ( actually a plastic chrome paint and is silly easy to clean ) and looks like an alminum wheel when on. They don't tic, crick or crackle when you move forward like the OEM hubcaps do and they are reasonably priced. I I had not been concerned that the tire size might be a concern some day, I would have stayed with them, they are great and look a whole lot better than the old GMC Tin hub caps. They really will make your GMC look so much more attractive...

bring up the design on Byrons link
press CONT and PRINT SCR at the same time
click START , All Programs , Accessories , PAINT
When Paint is on the screen, press CTRL and V , the drawing should appear
use the eraser ( a little yellow box in the upper LEFT tool bar ) to erase the mural
Feel free to draw in anything you think will look better and Xnay on FOR SALE or HOT DOGS 10 cents...

Still trying to figure out how to maneuver around this site. Keep losing the "original" thread of our purchase. thanks again for responding here. AND I am SO glad we aren't the only ones losing our hubcaps. My husband was so disappointed last night when we got home. We traveled the rodes we took to get home last night and search for the hubs this morning. Couldn't find them...

I changed the subject title to reflect the direction of the thread. BNS
The trick about the hubcaps is putting them on correctly so that they keep
tension against the wheels. One thing is to be sure they are secure if
having to cover over the wheel weights as well. Too often they are tapped
into place and don't fit snuggly against the wheel.
I had few original hubcaps so I bought some of the cheap ones off eBay.
That's when I paid attention to how they were applied. Those that weren't
snug against the wheel (wheel weight causing a problem) fell off. I lost
three on the first trip out after about two miles of travel.
So, I just sanded and painted the wheel a good silver color and let that be
it until I got alloys.
You'll want to get new wheels anyway because sticking with the old, steel
wheels that are 16.5 wheels means looking for expensive tires that are
increasingly hard to find.
