I have searched without success for the write up on a add on A/C unit that fits in front of the engine hatch and uses the existing compressor.
Appreciate any help.

That is the one, thanks Emery. One problem I see since my Coach is a 76 and the Suspension controls would have to be moved.

We have the JimK version. It is an early installation, and I hear they do it a bit differently now. The unit had to be rocked back some, to get the vents aimed up and so the hatch can open (almost) normally. In hot humid weather it will drip water on the carpet because the drip tray is at too steep of an angle. The great news is that we have _never_ been too hot, even for a moment, since installation. We run the fan on low 95% of the time.
We also find that many times, the fan alone is enough as we are like dogs and sometimes just need some "air in our face".
Here is a poor picture. I tried to "blow up" the part we wanted and that didn't work out too well but you can see '74 air valves are accessible.

Thanks so much for the kind replies. I have a couple of questions.
Emery, did you add to the existing system, thereby having two condensors?
If you now have two condensors, how do you get the air from the original condensor into the cockpit?
Gary, if I understand correctly, you replaced the original condensor and only have the one new unit?
It is satisfactory in 95 degree temps?
George, same question as to Emery, added a second condensor or replaced it with the new one?
There are so many options available, I really would like the best unit out there.

Yes, just the one engine driven unit. We are in California so I don't think
we have been in 95 degree weather in the coach let alone the humidity factor
you might have in Florida so I can't really answer that one. Put it this
way, it;s never been so bad that I had to use the roof air. I do wish that
the back of the coach stayed cooler which is which is why I might add a rear
condenser unit at some point.

Heck No, we're at 4000 ft. gets darn cold up here. We just had the coach up
in Death Valley last week though. Hot there.
