We're using our old Boles Aero trailer for the first time. I found a beat up old kitchen knife buried in a drawer. I cleaned and ran a steal across it. It's a fairly nice Vitronix chefs knife. very sharp. The knife and a two burner cast iron griddle have served very well on this trip.

So i thought others might have interesting finds in old coaches to share.

That's pretty cool. I remember reading that they had done this. I wonder if Terry Taylor can make replicas?

I found two tall hydraulic jacks about 24 to 30" long. One in the box on the roof and the other under a seat.
Where were these used?

Were they perhaps original jacks?

on the other 'borrowed photo', the WRENCH - wheel #706744... I'd hate to try and use it..
Mine is a 3' BMF breaker bar with an approx 3' pipe to extend it.
Sometimes it takes all of it to break them loose.

Yes, that's what they look like. I'll see if they have the same gizmo on top. I didn't notice any chain. Also found an aluminum bar for emergency air bag replacement. And a jack hook.

Twern't to bad. She was just a little unhappy that her lease was up and not going to be renewed.
Speaking of which, anyone want to buy a slightly used opossum house?

Marsha: For real? I mean, you're selling the Casa de Possum? Isn't it
THIS close to being drivable? Heck, I'm contemplating spending a
thousand dollars on getting a junker GMC (by the time Ive given the
guy 500 bucks, driven 500 miles round trip to buy some cheap steelie
wheels, and had it towed someplace). It would seem that just a bit
more work and you'd have the rig you've wanted?

Robin,
Yes, in a weekend and another $1000, give or take a little, it will run (actually started on starting fluid before I left). The biggest problem for me is the 1,200 miles from home. I was really looking for something that was in mechanically better shape. My skills do not fall the the wrench turning side but more interior finishing. I feel horrible relying on others to make my project roll, and don't have the funds available in the short term to pay someone to make it go. So, she must go to someone with either more money, more skills or someone closer to her current location.

When I worked in an emergency room I helped a doctor repair the end of a
finger of a coon hunter. The doc had to carve some bone away in order to
pull skin over the end.

The fellow thought he had killed the coon but found out he hadn't. I suspect
possums can do as much damage. For sure, those little ones were giving off a
warning signal.
