Hey everyone its been awhile since I've chatted with you all my
restoration is going well. I have completed the rear perm bed and have
moved on to the electrical. I have purchased A JRV tank monitor
system. I replaced both my dark and fresh water tanks. Unfortunately
already mounted the dark tank and need to drill 4 3/8 holes for the
sensors. It is difficult with the limited space underneath that thing.
Does anyone have any ideas? It would be greatly appreciated. Hope
everyone is well and traveling safe.

The holes do not need to be arranged in a straight line.

If you do not hook to city water, you do not need a black tank monitor

when the fresh water is gone ---- dump----

also might keep you from getting flooded when you get a leak

I am sorry to say that the probes in the black tank are not worth the time to install. They do not work. "Stuff" apparently just hangs on them and gives false readings and no amount of cleaning fixes it. I even took the probe screws out rounded off the ends and polished them hoping to stop the false readings but it did not help. There are probes available that claim to work because they have sort of a 'roof' over them but they want $30-$40 for them and by the time I found them I had already switched over to the "when the water tank is empty the holding tank is full" method which works fine.

G'Day,

Avions use 5 screws inserted through the tank which light up bulbs labeled E
- 1/4 - 1/2 - 3/4 - F.

IIRC they are located close to the large dump hole and were inserted from
the inside out. I believe they are brass or stainless steel.

So far they seem to give accurate readings.

Kinda makes one wonder. Let me see, I should clean that black tank in order
to refill it with crap? What about that doesn't make sense to me. Flush the
toilet and look into the tank. If it is full, empty it.

Armand,
I have just the opposite story to tell. Mine never quit working properly.
Maybe because I had a cleanout port on the tank where the old sending unit
used to mount.

I have a new monitor that has not been installed yet. The screws are inside the well nuts at least 1/16th of an inch. Will this help to keep from getting stuff stuck on them or will it just fill the nuts? I don't have a clue, but seems this would work better than having a screw sticking out for stuff to catch on.
I never hook to city water. We get about 2 35 gallon tanks of fresh water to the black. Must be the gray water drains we have, when we need them. Very Happy
Dan
