Hi,
Could anyone point me to a picture of what the Guske INSIDE windshield wrap looks like. I'm thinking of ordering shades from Margaret but don;t think I;ve seen the inside windshield one.

Gary,
They are designed to hang straight down and not as desireable as the
drape one as our windshield has lot of slant and even the side.

I second Jim's comments. The Guske windshield wrap is of good quality and
nicely made (the same as we had in our 40' SOB). But, it cannot be "thrown"
up on the dash out of the way. In fact, as received, ours wouldn't even
close because it hung below the level of the driver's seat and wouldn't fit
between the steering wheel and the front of the seat. Clamping it firmly
between two boards and passing it through the table saw fixed that. Later,
I made the steering wheel removable which would have solved the problem as
well.
Also, the Guske curtain passes a lot of light when we're too-frequently
parked in excessively illuminated areas. Our side and rear blinds block
light totally; some day I'll replace the windshield wrap with a more opaque
curtain.

Is there any reason to not use the track behind the driver's seat to place a darkening curtain there? It seems like a simple solution to help darken the inside.
Are the wraps that fit over the windshield hard to install and remove? Who makes them or where are they available for purchase? My coach has snap fittings mounted on the outside of the windshield, but did not come with a windshield cover.

Hi, George.
I suggest that a local car upholstery shop can make
a heat/light/UV minimizing "mesh" cover to fit your
existing snaps. They allow you to see out of you
coach but don't let people look in (unless it is far
brighter inside than outside).
I had a set made for my boat and the 1976 ex-P.B.
(The Money Pit) that I bought last year came with a
set for both winshields, driver and passenger side
glass, and rear picture window!
They are REALLY helpful.

I can't think of any reason why a blackout curtain at the back of the
cockpit wouldn't work. But I like the transparent plastic curtain I've
always had there. I originally installed it to avoid claustrophobia when
driving with it closed to keep the cockpit cool. That's never been
necessary, but we do use it on the rare occasions when I get caught in
really cold weather -- the windshield really loses a lot of heat.
I've never used, nor much wanted, an outside windshield wrap. But at FMCA
Perry I saw the attachment scheme I think I'd want: Neodymium magnets glued
at suitable locations inside the windshield and side windows, with matching
magnets in pockets in the wrap -- just throw the wrap up into position. I
don't have the name of the manufacturer, but Google probably knows. I'd
make my own.

George,
As mentioned, if you go to an upholstery shop you can get a replacement
cover made and they can install the snaps. Specify marine grade upholstery
vinyl or my preference (having a good friend in the business) ask if they
have a vinyl called "Artic". It is made for snowmobile seats and is much
more durable.

Two magnets at each location: 1 glued inside the glass, the other sewn into

I'm with you Mac, I must be using the wrong magnets - they will not stick to
the aluminum!
Would it not be easier to have Velcro sewn into the shades rather then the
magnetic strips at least for interior applications? Velcro generally comes
in black or white and up to 2" wide.
There is also a 3M product that is like industrial strength Velcro.
Exceptional adhesion, fairly rigid so not as flexible as original Velcro.
May be had to sew and both halves are the same - no hook vs. loop.
