My Dad and I got the Honda chairs installed this weekend. Thanks to George Z for his slides. It was a bit more work than he shows, but a nice job documenting the major steps. I will say, we had problems with the front of the seats sitting higher than the rear and making it uncomfortable, so we put the back piece of unistrut on top of the mounting plate and the front underneath the plate. This seems to give a real good driving/sitting angle. Overall, I'm real pleased with the look and the comfort. I'm looking forward to driving up to Bean Station to try them out.
I do know someone mentioned a fix for the armrests angling too low. I'd be interested in that if anyone can dig it out again.
On another note, I have a set of original seats in Bham, recovered in pleather and in need of some cleaning, that are free to a good home. I also have the OEM slide mechanism for the flat bases if anyone needs them. I can bring either/all to Bean Station if anyone cares.
Thanks,

Tom was the first one back, so I'll take them up to him at Bean Station. If he doesn't want them, I'll bring them back and post again. Thanks. And thanks Gene, that's what I remember seeing.

| I can probably survive with what I have - what appear to be original from 1973, faded beyond any resemblance of color. Pleather would almost certainly be an upgrade. I suspect the next time I drive it any distance the upholstery will tear, but that just means I will have to get creative in identifying a zero-cost source of material to recover them.
