This link says the Birchaven was available in '76,7 & 8.
http://www.gmcmotorhome.com/faq/rpos.html

but only in 23'. I seen ads for coaches listed as 26' Birchavens. Is that possible?

Also the above link does not have any rpo for the Birchaven.
Where can I find info for Birchaven; color choices, etc
Thanks

A 26 foot Birchaven is a ROYALE!

To explain:

Coachman upfitted two models: Royale and Birchavens. All Royales are 26 foot and ALL Birchavens are 23 foot.

Below is just what I have observed and might not be true:

I do not think they had much in the way of color choices. Most early (76) Birches where white. The later ones (78) where tan. Some of the ones in the middle where yellow... like my 77. The interior fabric also changed through the years. The woodwork (and most furnishings) was fairly constant through the years with only minor changes. (Like the rear bath door changed from a pocket door to a folding one.) Royales seem to follow a like pattern.

While they did have options for blenders and the like, I do not think they had options for a particular color or fabric... You got what they got from GM (color) and the fabric they were putting in at the time.
