I have someone working on the GMC down where I store it and he was asking about the house batteries in series, he wasn't sure of the arrangement. I started to recall what I though it should be but stopped and told him I would try to find a diagram that would illustrate it for him. I've had him working on other items and I've been sending his wife the write-ups on the subjects that this community has done. He loves them. So I think he is hoping to have one on the battery hook ups.
What I have is 2 6-volt Trojans hooked in series. I unhooked them last fall to keep them from draining. Any help would be much appreciated.

Tom, the positive cable of the battery that is closest to the center of the
coach goes to the converter. the negative cable of that battery goes to the
positive post of the battery that is closest to the outside of the coach.
The negative cable from this battery goes to the ground point. When the
batteries are hooked up like I have described, the negative cable is readily
accessible when you want to disconnect for storage or for electrical
maintence without reaching across a "hot" battery with tools to disconnect a
cable that is back in a hole. This is not the only way to hook them up, just
what I consider to be the safest way.

Thanks guys, sent this onto my mechanic. Someday it would be nice to put these batteries up in front and just have a starter battery for the Onan.
