Thanks Gene,

I appreciate all the work and time that you and so many others put into
keeping track of and dispensing the vast amount on knowledge stored on file
and in your heads. Thanks for the net and forum. I will try to use it

Don: I think Gene was speaking of you starting a new thread every time you answer instead of replying so others can see the thread to which you are replying. Of course some of us can just read your mind...

I am fairly certain it has something to do with his mail program and how it interfaces with the forum/list, rather than anything he is doing on purpose. BUT --- If he quoted a little of the message he was replying to, it wouldn't [hardly] be noticed.

Part of that is the hullabaloo that is often
directed at those who post and don't bother
to snip text that is not applicable. Sometimes
the reaction is extreme and NOBODY has any idea
as to what was originally said.

Sometimes I have a hard time discerning what is
or is not appropriate of earlier texts to leave in!
Such as below! Even so, it's pretty hard to follow.

I often edit the >>>> stuff out and put carriage
returns and lines in as separations to make things
more understandable (as I see it).

You have to have a very short memory not to know what these threads are all about especially when they happen within a couple of hours of each other and they have a title and you previously replied to an earlier post a few minutes ago Smile

The forum kinda keeps them together..
The email is each one as it occurs and not grouped logically...
Some people like to use a particular one and some the other..
You learn to adjust to the advantages of each and the disadvantages..

Actually, Bob, it is backwards. When one of the new unreferenced posts comes up it is first in line, top of the forum, and we have to go down the list into the past to find the original post.
