Does anyone that is coming to the Patterson, LA rally have an OEM master cylinder that they are willing to part with for the purpose of measuring the fluid capacity of the two compartments and the piston stroke ?

Albert,
I have the failed one I took off 2 years ago out in the shed, and I think it was original. I'm not going to Patterson, but I could do some measurements for you and post them. Not sure how precise you need it to be. Some fluid will bleed through the cylinder bore when measuring volume, and I'm thinking calipers and pushing the spring in is about as close as I would measure stroke. Let me know, and I can dig it out of the shed tomorrow.

You are probably aware of this, the '78 had the second design MC and some of the changes were in the pistons and perhaps the stroke. I seem to recall it had slightly larger volume than the 1st design.

Hey Craig ,
Thanks for the offer to do the measurements, I think it best to buy the 1978 one from somewhere and measure it . Looks like my OEM MC has 1-1/4" pistons which I have long suspected due to only getting just over 800 PSI on a pressure test about 3 years ago. I'll just hold for now and pick up one on the way home from Patterson.

Albert I have the old Master cylinder from my '75 coach. I doubt it is the
original unit, but I believe it to be the correct replacement according to
my coach's maintenance history. If you like I can take some measurements
from it, or send it to you to play with. I have no use for it as I plan on
using the new P30 MC I have on hand.

I also still plan on giving you a call when I find a few free minutes.
