I'm not sure how much it holds including the preheat, but mine took a little over 4 gallons without them, once you include the burp tank filled to the Cold mark. It'd be on the safe side to get 5 gallons of pre-mix or 3 gallons of undiluted antifreeze. I tend to run a little above 50% in mine to compensate for topping off with distilled water on occasion. Distilled water from "Wally World" is pretty cheap & since it's a freshly cleaned radiator I didn't want to tempt fate by adding tap water this time out.

the heat exchanger on my Kumma heater seems much more efficent, after 15 minutes of the engine running its hot enough for a shower! considering the small size of the heater the hotter the water means you can blend it out with more cold to have more warm water.
I think the main advantage to copper lines is less chance for a hose failure, and your coolant pissing all over the ground and leaving you stranded someplace...

Sometimes it takes a while for the entire system to fill. I would check the overflow tank regularly after several heating/cooling cycles and keep it topped off. It will stabilize after several cycles.

Larry,
My coach had the copper lines when I bought it. I replaced the hoses on each end early on because I had a leak under the bath sink.
The water still gets VERRY hot, eventhough my engine temp runs @~180*. No problems with the copper or connections in 8 years and 70,000+ miles.
