We usually dry camp at Pillar Point RV park shoehorned between Highway 1 and the bay. This is a very small park and they are rather proud of the place - $30/night dry camping $60/nigh with hookups. Sometimes we've parked at the Pillar Point Marina. Visit the Harbormaster to pay your $30 here too and you can sleep in the parking lot. Not as pretty, but it beats Walmart!

Don't forget to eat at Barbara's Fish Trap.
The clam chowder is excellent.

If you go south on HWY 1 past HWY92, there is a
RV park, next to the Ritz Carlton and golf course,
called Pelican Point RV Park, at 1001 Miramontes Point Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. They charge $45/night (cash only w/reservations).
The premium spot closest to the ocean is $49/night ( comes with fenced in lawn and fire pit).
There's beach access and it's more sheltered than Princeton Harbor. The owner is very protective of their property.
They will ask non-paying visitors to leave. Dogs allowed.
They also insist on guiding you to your assigned spot.
The only place to eat there is at the hotel or clubhouse. The clubhouse at the golf course is less expensive. A hamburger at the Ritz is $20.

Ketch Joanne's is our favorite closely followed by the Airport cafe (that is named for the runway heading, that I can't remember.)
The Brewery across the street from Barbara's is supposed to be very good too with live music, though we've never beaten there.
