Hey GMCers, Marsha asked me off net if any one could recommend a repair
facility in the greater Alburquirky, NM area that could be entrusted with a
GMC for maintence and repairs. Does any body have first hand knowledge of
someone that they would recommend to her?

G'day,

Here's one on that Bdub has in the Service Provider Recommendations List:

http://www.bdub.net/GMCServiceComments.pdf

Hodges Automotive
9718 Trumbull SE
Albuquerque, NM 87123
Phone 505 292-7698
Owner: Jack Hodges
Submitted by: Peter Rachtman
Comments: A full service facility with
considerable GMC experience. They use
Knighton's Automotive, who also have
considerable GMC, to do the actual
engine rebuilding under Jack's direction.

Bdub,

The listing below is NOT in the SPRL.

Hey Marsha, I hope this gives you a good place to start. If you don't have a
copy of the Black list, be sure that you get one soon.

I don't have any personal experience with Hodges Automotive but Peter Rachtman of Albuquerque said he had good experience with him rebuilding his engine.
As to Statkus I woud use caution. I know of two GMCers that used him and one had a major problem with the crankshaft and couldn't get satisfaction on getting it fixed and the other waited close to 4 months to get his engine fixed.

Thanks Emery. Jim always did my and Casey Luna's coaches promptly and
effectively. I'll remember Peter Rachtman. Of course, I never left my coach
with him, twice he let us stay overnight in his secure locked yard with
electric and h2o. Amazing how if you're staying aboard it goes a little
faster.
