It just popped up in my SPAM folder too.

Sorry, Howard, you're going to have to learn to speak British. :-)

In my experience, those email virus's usually involve Microsoft products.

Ask your friend whose email was infected if they are using MS Outlook or Outlook Express along with Internet explorer.

Firefox, Google Chrome, Linux, and Gmail keep me virus free.

I have Outlook on my computers, but do NOT
use it for email. Its only use here is to
open .eml attachment that occasionally show
up in emails from others who DO use Outlook.

G'day,

As an employee of Hamilton Standard I got used to using Outlook and other MS
products and when I retired I just kept doing so.

I have my PC setup to automatically download any updates from Microsoft and
notify me. Whenever I receive notification I look at the update and see if I
want it or.

I use Webroot Spy Sweeper for virus and spyware protection.

As I live in Australia and all my funds are in the USA I must rely on the
Internet to move them around. I use Webroot Window Washer to clean out all
the caches on my PC before I log onto any of my accounts and once again when
I close Internet Explorer after working with the accounts.

I have enough common sense not to fall for any of the phishing schemes and
if I received a request for funds from any friend I would advise them to
give me a call or send me a number I could call them BEFORE I sent them a
zack [Aus slang for sixpence (5 cents)].

I have been in Australia since August 2002 and have never had any problems
with anybody getting into any of my accounts.

I did make one mistake; I replied a Nigerian scammer to go fornicate himself
in a return email. After doing that I got bombarded with heaps of scams for
a month or so.

Regards,
Rob M.
