Hi,
Is it possible that when GM did the 1973 coaches that they could have included the connector for the tach and +ignition wire for an HEI distributor. As I was unwrapping the loom to complete the FI there appears to be a connector that is a perfect match to an HEI distributor. I cannot seem to find it on my 1973 GMC wiring diagram. It only shows the wires going to a coil. Was HEI an option in 1973?

Gary,
Previous owner must have rewied your coach.
HEI was never an option, it came out in 75.

Another possibility is that your coach at one time was the unfortunate
victim of an underhood fire, and that the harness to repair it came from a
later donor GM vehicle.
