While the factory makes a good show piece, I have a hard time thinking that they are very efficient.

Most of the parts on those cars match the 11 year old Audi I have (currently in parts) setting in the garage. Nice car, but it doesn't make a very good towd. (GMC content)

Though the factory/museum is a beautiful piece of architecture and would certainly be a must see attraction for an auto enthusiast, the VW Phaeton bring produced at the plant was one of their biggest blunders.

Wonderful car, but nobody wanted to spend that sort of money on a VW. I've heard that they are a great deal on the used car market as the prices have dropped through the bottom!

Yes, the VW Phaeton.

I saw one drive in VW service one day, it is designed as VW's attempt to a high end automobile with sports car elegance. Reminded me of those slender sleek Audi, I believe is a partner to VW.

The shop really treated this car like royalty when it came in, I'd say even better than the Cadillac dealers treat the Cadillacs that come in for service. ( I have stories )...

The VW Phaeton was discontinued in the United States due to low sales. Funny I always thought of VW as a Bug or Cabrio, not a high priced, high end car.

Making a VW luxury car is as stupid as a Porsche SUV....but these are my
opinions.....And... I don't believe the Phaeton is available in Dick's
favorite colour ...Brown ! <g>
