Somewhere I seem to remember a graphic of the 23 and 26 foot coaches in a format that could be edited in one or another of the graphic programs. I'm playing with rearranging some of Moby's interior and it would be a great help.

Anyone know where it is?

Thanks, Glenn

Thanks Jay,

Close but no cigar. I wasn't as clear as I could have been. What I need is interior floor plans so I can move stuff around and try different layouts.

Glenn,

I have never modified the interior of a coach, but I have been retained (on several occasions) to do major renovations of cruising boats. While I usually do extensive drawings and even 3D models (very rarely), the thing that turned out to work better every time was the cardboard mock-up.

Boat interiors (particularly sail types) are far harder to manage than even GMC coaches. There are, however, many similarities.

There was a case where the owner was so sure what he wanted that he did not want to pay for this step. I had to do a little bit of it anyway just to figure out how to make things fit. This turned out to be a very good thing. One locker could not be opened enough to manage the contents (it was the china cabinet and the dinner plates had to be turned on edge and handled one at a time) and another new feature was a real shin-basher (It got broken twice while I was showing it to the owner) when it was in the intended more common location.

I have seen some beautiful rework of GMC coaches (unfortunately so has Mary), but I have also seen some that I would not do.

Thinking is most cost effective part of any project.

Matt

G'day,

I might be demonstrating an acute grasp on the obvious but a drawing of the
interior and scale cutouts of the various bits and pieces would work too.

Ikea gives them out for bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc. planning.

Glenn,

Despite all the chatter, I don't think anyone ever told you where to find
the floor plans:

There are dimensioned plan views here that could be cleaned up for your use:

And all the floor plans are here:

Got him covered, I think, off the net. Scalable vector format, too.

Those diagrams are a great resource.
