I'm pretty certain you've thought of this, but have you checked the light switch to see if it has been turned to the "Dome Light" position (all the way to the left or counter-clockwise)? I had trouble with mine running the start battery down and since I only worked on it during the day I never noticed it. Sometimes the most aggravating problems have a solution so simple that no one ever looks for it where it turns out to be. While I'm sure no one else has had this happen, it could happen to anyone...
