Jay,
I ,have the Smaller Mr Buddy ,also hooked to a 20# Bottle ,and I'm concerned
about the Oxygen ,concentration in my GMC.
The normal percentage of Oxygen is 20.9% in normal air.and the Minimum
permissible oxygen level is 19.5% .So were are only talking about a
depletion of only 1.4% to start causing problems.
Teledyne has a Model 3350 Oxygen Monitor for $2,190 Retail ,but you can buy
used ones for about $500.00.
The only safe way, in a confined area ,would be to use a Oxygen Monitor,
with an Alarm
From what I have read , you dont have, any real symptoms, with Oxygen
depletion , like a Headache .

I got a Mr.Buddy 18000 BTU for $120 not counting the adapter to connect a
20# bottle. Using it to keep things above freezing during cold snaps. Docs
say "approved for indoor use." Supposedly has "low-O2" shutoff, whatever
that means. It does have a built-in fan that runs off 4 D-cells. Doesn't
move a lot of air, though. I haven't spent more than a few hours in the
coach when the heater was running, but didn't notice any headaches or
feelings of toxicity. But no question that it puts out a lot of
moisture/humidity into the air. To be expected. When pure hydorcarbons (that
don't have nitrogen, ie nothing but C, O, H) combust 100%, the only products
are CO2 and H2O.

Any thoughts/experience on trusting their "safe for indoor use" ??
