I really tried researching this other places but once again, the questions i'm asking don't go well with net searches.
The Chrysler Town & Country with 3.8 is idling at 2200.
OBD II sensor says code P1294 which suggests a vacuum leak or an idle air control problem.
No evidence of vac leak so, I removed the idle air control valve and found it very gunky. I cleaned it and it moves freely.
the idle air control valve has two contacts. The resistance across them is 10 ohms. Does that suggest a problem? I would have expects more resistance across a coil.
It's 24 hours to get one from the parts store and it's 50 miles to the Man Mall so i need as much good info as possible.

Don't know much about Dodges. Remember that an IAC, if its a stepper motor is just copper wire. The resistance of alot of motor windings is very low, sometimes close to single digits. Compare to a new one. Don't have a new one. Autozone does. Ask for one, test resistance and hand it back to the counterman. Don't even have to buy it. Did you try it after you cleaned it? You may have fixed the problem and be done. I would check the seat area in the manifold as well for gunk if it works like the GM type. Things like this are usually "do not lubricate" but to me some WD40 at this point to cut the gunk and free up makes sense.
