Been in conversation with the Tucson owner of this rig because it might fit in well w/ my GF's pizza business. Things are on hold until the business plan is revised to see if such a purchase will work.

Pretty nice looking rig. Great mobile kitchen culture in Portland, so good opportunity on that front. Looks like it was built to code, but a good idea to double check with Health Dept.
Think about the amount of money, time and work it might take to set it up, then double it. That will get you started.
One thing about selling food from a GMC, it's always an adventure.

Wow, thanks Andy. Looked at your website. Yes indeed it does look like you're having fun!! But still in all a very professional setup. Very nice. At risk of deviating from GMC content - not that anybody on the list ever does that LOL but I'm just guessing that the relevant health and food service and equipment codes are a state thing? Or are they city or county? or does it vary from state to state do you know? In your operation, it looks like you hire out to various festivals and go set up at their location. So do you have to get like day-permits from whatever jurisdiction for that kind of operation? Do you work in more than one state?
At this point first obstacle is that my GF's pizza venture is still in the planning stages, and it's way too soon to be thinking about this kind of investment. Specific problem with the Tucson coach is that it is set up as a class 3 (which means nothing to me but may to you) and is set up to serve hotdogs, nachos, soft drinks etc, but does not have an oven that would work for pizza. So right off the bat some mods would be needed. For now the business plan is being worked on, and if a coach/mobile operation could be worked into the plan, then we'll get back in touch with Tucson Munchmobile and see if it's still available and deal from there.
