Hello All,
At long last I managed to get my photosite album up to date.(more or less).
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=3432
It's not that I haven't been working on the coach for the last few years, it
is more that it has been a very chaotic last few years. Not only did I have
to get the coach roadworthy, I also had to prepare my bussiness for the new
owner, and make plans for our life after the sale. We finaly are there: the
coach rolls, the bussiness has been sold. We have retired!!!!
As for our plans for the future: Thinking about NOT being tied to a place to
earn a living we realized we can go annywhere we like. Long story short: As
we like a new challange in life, we decided to move to New Mexico. We like
the climate and the open space, as well as the atmosphere. Last year we
bought a beatifull house about 30 miles south of Santa Fe, on 30 acres. That
should give us ample space to do the things we like. We plan to build a good
workshop for me, to work on the coach, and a ceramics workshop for my wife,
to keep us from mischief.
Our visas came through end of december, so we're all set to go.
The movers will come in on Feb. 9 to pack a huge container with all our
stuff and ship it out on the 11th.
The GMC will be shipped out on Feb. 9th. It is used to seatravel by now.
We will fly, with our dog, on Feb 28th to Washington, pick up the coach in
Baltimore and drive west. This will give us a chance to see a part of the
country we have never been in. We'll take about 2 weeks to cover the
distance. It will give us time to recover from the emotions and exhaustion
from the last few months, as well as time to see the sights. Sure hope the
coach will hold up well. If not, the Black list is in the laptop, so you,
along the way, are warned. We hope to meet a lot of you at the rally's we
intend to attend in the future.

Marc,

Congratulations on your retirement. (I think that is when they put newer rubber on your wheels and send you back out...)

I have long admired your innovative modifications to your coach, but never expected to be able to see them in person. Now the possibility exists.

I like the drawers in the kitchen cabinets. I have been thinking of this ever since seeing Dan Winchester's coach. I think you might want an inner wheel well to protect you air pump. And quite the air pump it is!

Marc,

If you come within 60 miles of Louisville, KY and don't yell in my direction
I'll be offended. Besides, it sounds like a reason to have a party, which we
can do when you come by and we'll do again when you leave.

Do We have to hang another flag and sing yet another anthem at GMCMI conventions?
(I know the tune to Het Wilhelmus, but not the words.
Mary might her maiden name was Voorhaar.)

Looking forward to meeting you - Marc.

Marc,

Congratulations! And Welcome to the USA (we've got about 12,000,000
"visitors" I WON'T say that to). :-)

To get to NM, you might as well drop down into the Deep South and
swing by our place on the way west. :-)

Looking forward to our meeting, wherever, whenever.

Cool!! If you get though NW Wisconsin, you'll always have a place to park (our place).
BTW, that goes for everyone out there. We are 10 mi off of I94 on a dead end street in the country. Got 20A and water.
