Hi All,
I've been on the mailing list for about one year and it can get
overwhelming. I bought a 23' 1973 and the guy (who only owned a couple mos)
removed the dinette seating and replaced it with a sloppy bench seat. I
have been restoring this to its former glory and need dimensions for the
seat side panels and seat base height. I have the table done but I would
love the profile of the seat side panels to be as original dimensioned. I
have matched the laminates for most of the work. I also changed the table
to a post mount - just better I think. If you think you could provide me
with a dimensioned drawing of the profile of the seat sidewall I would
greatly appreciate it.
As with all other "non posters" I have been appreciative of this forum's
body of knowledge.

Stephen,
Welcome to the forum.
The dinette in both the 23 and 26 ft coaches, 73 and 74, were to my knowledge, the same unit. Are you located close enough to any one of us on the GMCnet that you could just drop over and trace the end panel and take a few dimensions?

While the dimensions should be the same, the dinettes on the 26 and 23 should be mirror images. They are mounted on opposite sides of the coach.
Depending on how the coach is going to be used, you might want to look for a "Flexsteel" dinette out of a newer 26 foot coach. We find the Flexsteel is more comfortable for sitting and the stock style foam cushions on wood more comfortable for sleeping. Note that the Flexsteel dinettes seem to be a little narrower than the wooden dinettes.

I know I'm useless on this.... but would love to see how it turns out for you. We really enjoy eating meals in our 23ft rear dinette. The Rear window makes for some great views.
