Hey all,

I am trying to rewire the fresh water pump. I tore it all up and like an
idiot I took no pictures. I did label some wires and there is a black wire
that was labeled to be connected to the blue and red power wires? Weird I
thought but I'm not sure any help would be appreciated. Just a simple wiring
diagram or a picture. Thanks again

Try this one http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=33858&title=new-whisper-king-water-pump&cat=5465 the pump upright because it is mounted with a double set of isolation pads - I think you can see the wiring and plumbing.

Nice double isolation. And starting with the Whisper King, can't imagine you'd hear it without otherwise total silence.

And very nice framing woodworking! I'll be doing something similar, though I'm enamored of the bed lift concept.

The double insulated Whisper King is very quiet. No more complaints from the boss when I get up an hour earlier than she does and use water. The reduced flow of the pump is also not a problem for us - the kitchen faucet is the most demanding and it works fine.

G'day,

Due to the fact that the Avion only carries 36 gallons of water I take
"military" showers. Wet down, soap up, rinse off. As long as the water flow
out of the shower is strong enough to rinse my hair I'm good to go.

For those of you who haven't seen me I am one of those silly old farts
trying to re-capture his youth by growing a pony tail! Actually I never had
a pony tail but always wanted one and now I do! It does save me the cost of
haircuts as every couple of months Helen cuts it!

Just wondering why you didn't take out and eliminate the little filter between your new pump and the tank. Your whisper king came with a nice filter that bayonet locks onto the side of the pump. The old one is down in back by the floor and is difficult to take apart in that position. The new filter is a much better filter than the small round flat screen in the old filter.

Emery, I am embarrassed to admit that I didn't know what the heck the thing was and I was in a hurry. I will remove the filter as soon as I get a chance.

I know what you mean. Many people think that is a check valve and leave it in. It clogs quite easily and can really show down the water flow unless it is cleaned regularly.

Armand thank you for the pics. Question I can't tell in the pics but do you
have a black wire wired in with your blue and red power wires for the power
or is that just me not being able to see correctly? And one other thing does
the pump have to mounted in that position? If so where did you get the
plastic part mounted to the metal floor? Thanks again that was very helpful,
and will make a big difference in the time it takes me to redo this.

John,
I don't know what the wiring actually looks like - I'll try to take a look in the morning but may not be able to get back to you for a while.

The mounting is using the base from the original water pump with it's rubber mounts right where they were originally installed. I removed the pump from the base and installed a 90 degree angle brace with a piece of plywood attached to it where the pump was and then attached the new pump to that piece of plywood. It gives me double insulation for sound - very quiet - and allows me to use a 90 degree angle brace that I already had.

does this help?
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=37320&title=76-water-pump-wiring&cat=3619

your wiring diagram should show you what wires are there.
