G'day Armand,

Where did you get the Pergo floor that looks like tile? I went to their
website but couldn't find it. Even though you say it's crappy I like the way
it contrasts with the wood. Helen really HATES the carpet as it is a PITA to
clean! With the tile you just sweep the dirt out and use throw rugs you can
take out and wash!

Rob M.

Hi Rob,
The Pergo came from Home Depot. They have/had two colors. One was a sort of gray and the one we used is more tan/brown. It was a special order but the samples were in the store along with all of the others. The sample piece from HD says model# 04720 and SKU# 821-187. It shows on HD's web site when you search "pergo 04720".

Why not install an acrylic panel -- glass bottom boat type of approach.

I like the plate shown in the pix, but a lot of owners object to the
disruptions in the flooring.

just looking at ways to make an invisible trap door in the flooring.

Gene,

Like hiding a hatch on a boat .. have you looked at the floor in D Prigmore's land yacht? The engine hatch disappears with the floor covering he used. Alternating dark and light stripes as he has done seem to hide lines.

http://www.gmceast.com/technical/Prigmore-LandYacht-Spr10.pdf

Or, carpet panels, if you are open to keeping carpet. I have also looked at the rubber tiles that snap together -- easily removed for access.

Gene, Great idea. Do you have any photos showing the distances to the inspection holes from the top? It would help keep me from drilling too many holes in the top of my tanks.
Thanks

Thanks Gene. I guess I can't see the forest for the trees.
We have the wood laminate floor and it looks like the holes would be close to the center of one of the strips. If so it would allow me to access the holes by sliding out the laminate strip which wouldn't be a big deal.

Gene,
Might ought to label it as a 26' unless the location is the same for a
23'. If it is the same it will save me some time and trouble removing
tanks. Hope so!
