Is this someone on the forums coach? Man seeing these 26 ft coaches makes me think the 26ft a better choice for a family of four.

I have a family of four and a 26 foot.
I took them on a 2 week trip in a 21' SOB, which really was pretty similar except for no rear bed.

I would not go any smaller! Not sure where I'd sleep everyone in a 23 footer.

We slept; 1 kid on the couch, the other on the dinette, me and wife in the overhead bin, I mean bunk.
Cozy.

The overhead bin sleeping is what made me look for a GMC with a rear bed!

lol, i like the rear bed in the 23 ft. but the kids on the couch stinks. they are only 3 and 6 right now but soon they'll not want to be on the couch together. we are thinking about making bunk beds for them. I have a friend who welds and he was going to make a bunk above the couch. Or I may try to see if one of those fold type beds can fit over the front seats. a 26ft sure is starting to look good. i may look after i get the alignment checked and/or suspension issue solved on the 23 ft. I'm really stating to think its just a alignment issue however.

"This is one of a handful of old GMC's that is dry as a bone all winter."

Really? I mean, mine leaks like a sieve around the driver's side window, but I thought that's because it's old and gloriously original (i.e., really old).

I will show my ignorance and ask, did they not have the funky seatbelt-bunk-bed-couch thing on those?

Ken,

That yellow like my 74 Canyonlands was a few years ago looks familiar. Never saw a Palm Beach that color.

I once thought that they did offer yellow Palm Beaches and had seen one. I was told in no uncertain terms that they did not. (Offer yellow that is.) I was also told that sometimes the green paint fades to a yellow color.

This paint doesn't look faded. Might have been repainted.

The green stripe under the front windows looks as if it might read "Palm Beach". The front seats have been changed and the carpet.
