Very well done.
I have found that the only way to really check those tie rod ends, all four
of them, is to disconnect one end of each assy. Although they may feel
tight, there is almost always wear/slop in the neutral position. I carry a
sample (thanks to Robert Sternfels) that I pass around during my seminars
and you can easily detect the worn area when it is disconnected. This is
not possible with the tie rod installed unless it is really worn.
The best remedy for this is to bite the bullet and replace them. At the
age and accumulated miles on these coaches, consider them past their
servicable lifespan. The more slack you remove from the linkage, the
happier you are going to be with the drivablility of your GMC.
